Indian Air Force to Acquire New Jets, Radar Systems, and Missiles to Bolster Arsenal

The Indian Air Force is set to significantly augment its capabilities with the acquisition of six mid-air refuellers from Israel and 12 airborne early warning and control systems from Brazil and France. The Defence Acquisition Council has also cleared the purchase of additional missiles for Rafale and S-400 systems. Expedited acquisition of 114 multi-role fighter aircraft under 'Make in India' is also planned, aiming to enhance the IAF's strength by 2026.
