Delhi is preparing to launch the 'Pink Saheli Smart Card' in January 2026, offering free bus travel for women aged 12 and above residing in the city. The Delhi government has partnered with Airtel Payments Bank and Muffin Payments Bank to issue the cards. Distribution points will be set up at various government offices and service centers. Eligible women will need a Delhi Aadhaar card for application. The new digital system aims to streamline boarding and eliminate paper tickets, potentially benefiting the nearly two crore women who commute monthly on Delhi buses.
