India Counters Pakistan's Kashmir Reference at UN, Warns Against Misuse of Self-Determination

At the United Nations General Assembly, India strongly rebutted Pakistan's reference to Jammu and Kashmir, accusing Islamabad of misusing UN platforms to promote a divisive agenda. India's Counsellor Eldos Mathew Punnoose emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and warned against abusing the right to self-determination to encourage secession in democratic states. India highlighted Pakistan's repeated but unsuccessful attempts to internationalize the Kashmir issue and called for the UN to focus on broader global challenges.
