PM Modi Highlights Government Efforts for Sikh Community's Justice and Welfare

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the 'Hind-Di-Chadar' event virtually, emphasized the Central government's commitment to honour and justice for the Sikh community. He highlighted the formation of a Special Investigation Team for the 1984 riots, reopening of closed cases, and additional compensation for affected families. Modi also noted efforts to bring back sacred Guru Granth Sahib copies from Afghanistan, rehabilitation packages for Sikh families in Jammu and Kashmir, and eased citizenship and visa processes for persecuted Sikhs under the Citizenship Amendment Act.
