Assam Announces 52 New Train Stoppages to Enhance Rail Connectivity

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that 52 railway stations across the state will soon receive new train stoppages to enhance rail connectivity. The decision follows repeated public and representative requests. Key stations like Barpeta Road will get the Vande Bharat Express halt, while Diphu and Furkating will see the Rajdhani Express stop. Local MLAs are scheduled to inspect and inaugurate these new stoppages, aiming to improve passenger convenience statewide.
