West Bengal Congress Requests Completion of Voter Adjudication Before Election Announcement

The West Bengal Congress has urged the Election Commission of India to complete the adjudication process for over 60 lakh electors before announcing the state's election schedule. The party highlighted that the electoral rolls published on February 28 include 7.04 crore electors, with around 8.5% marked as 'under adjudication' due to issues like logical discrepancies and unmapped entries, mainly in districts such as Murshidabad and Malda. Congress leaders warned that proceeding without resolving these cases could cause confusion and disenfranchisement.
