During recent municipal elections in Maharashtra, concerns arose over Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). In Pune, NCP-SP leader Ankush Kakade reported a missing indicator light during voting and a 14-minute time discrepancy on an EVM, prompting calls for an inquiry. In Kalyan's KDMC polls, candidate Shekhar Apparao Wakode alleged that his name was incorrectly displayed on EVMs across all 63 booths, causing voter confusion and claims of deliberate manipulation. Election officials have yet to address these issues publicly.
