Mob Violence at Chakulia BDO Office Disrupts SIR Hearings in West Bengal

In West Bengal's Chakulia, North Dinajpur, a mob of around 300 people protesting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral hearings vandalized the Goalpokhar-II Block Development Office, damaging property including a bust of Mahatma Gandhi and burning documents related to government schemes. At least 15 people, including a local TMC panchayat official, were arrested. Police and Rapid Action Force personnel controlled the situation, and SIR hearings were suspended amid ongoing tensions and security measures.
