Jharkhand BJP chief Babulal Marandi has called for a law to investigate the assets of relatives of government officers, citing the case of an arrested IAS officer whose family members are under probe. Marandi proposed a law similar to Bihar's Special Courts Act, which would mandate investigations into the assets of officers' close relatives to curb corruption. He stated that many bureaucrats accumulate wealth in family members' names and urged the Chief Minister to address the issue.
