Sivagiri Madhom president Swami Sathchidananda has urged Kerala's political fronts, including CPI(M), Congress, and BJP, to ensure adequate representation of backward communities such as Ezhavas, Dheevaras, Vishvakarmas, and SC/ST groups in the upcoming Assembly elections. He highlighted a decline in such representation since the tenures of leaders like K. Karunakaran and A.K. Antony and noted complaints from these communities. The Madhom has communicated these concerns to party leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, and warned of strong responses if demands are unmet. Additionally, Sathchidananda welcomed the Kerala High Court's decision to remove SNDP Yogam's general secretary Vellappally Natesan.
