The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded contracts for constructing a 111 km six-lane access-controlled Capital Region Ring Road (Bhubaneswar Bypass) in Odisha. The project, divided into three packages under the Hybrid Annuity Mode, will connect Rameshwar to Tangi and include service roads, interchanges, bridges, and underpasses. Designed for 100 kmph, it aims to improve connectivity, reduce congestion in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Khordha, and support regional economic growth, with completion expected within 30 months.
