Officials Urged to Prevent Drinking Water Shortages Ahead of Summer in Karnataka Districts

With summer approaching, officials in Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, and Mandya districts have been directed to prevent drinking water shortages. Leaders including Minister K. Venkatesh and Mandya ZP CEO K. R. Nandini emphasized urgent assessment and repair of water sources, prioritizing vulnerable villages, and arranging alternative supplies like tankers and borewells. They also highlighted the need for water conservation awareness and completing ongoing infrastructure projects to ensure uninterrupted supply amid declining groundwater and rising demand.
