External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar described Pakistan as a "bad neighbour" and asserted India's right to self-defense against terrorism. Speaking at IIT Madras, he stated that India will exercise its right to defend its people, referencing past actions like Operation Sindoor. Jaishankar also linked terrorism to the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, emphasizing that good neighborliness is incompatible with persistent state-sponsored terrorism.
