Ludhiana Power Outage Follows Cable Damage During Municipal Excavation Work
A 66 KV underground power cable near College Road in Ludhiana was damaged during municipal corporation excavation to fix a water leak, causing over eight hours of power outages on Wednesday. The damage affected multiple localities and government offices linked to the Fountain Chowk grid. PSPCL restored partial supply via alternative arrangements but faces delays in permanent repairs due to water accumulation at the site. A planned shutdown is scheduled to complete restoration once the area is dry.
