Assam Police have arrested 11 individuals linked to a Bangladesh-based extremist outfit, the Imam Mahmuder Kafila (IMK), an offshoot of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB). The module, reportedly activated following directives from senior JMB, ABT, and AQIS leaders after a regime change in Bangladesh, was coordinating recruitment and financial mobilization through social media platforms like 'Purva Akash'. Bangladeshi nationals Umar and Khalid are alleged to be coordinating activities within Assam, with individuals in Assam, West Bengal, and Tripura being radicalized.
