Court Issues Notice to Madhya Pradesh Minister Over Alleged Insult to National Flag

A special MLA court in Jabalpur has issued a notice to Madhya Pradesh Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh following a plea alleging he insulted the national flag during a 2024 'Tiranga Yatra' in Narsinghpur. The petitioner, Kaushal Silawat, requested police action and submitted an affidavit, photographs, and complaints claiming the tricolour was improperly displayed on a vehicle's bonnet during the event. The court is considering the application to register an FIR against the minister.
