The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has secured a life sentence for a key accused in an Assam Hizbul Mujahideen terror conspiracy case. Investigations revealed the plot aimed to instill terror by recruiting individuals for the purpose. Three accused, including Sahnawaz Alom, Saidul Alam, and Omar Faruk, pleaded guilty and were convicted. A fifth accused, Jaynal Uddin, died during the trial.
