On Tuesday evening, around 20 members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) forcibly entered Azim Premji University's Bengaluru campus, protesting an alleged event promoting separatism and disrespecting the Indian Army. They vandalised property, smeared ink on university signage, and clashed with security personnel. The university denied authorising such an event, stating it follows strict procedures and that the event did not occur. Police detained 18-20 ABVP activists and are investigating the incident amid counter-protests by university students.
