
The U.S. has lifted sanctions on three individuals previously accused of developing and distributing 'Predator' spyware. Last year, the Biden administration sanctioned these individuals and businesses within the Intellexa Consortium, citing their roles in creating software used against U.S. officials, journalists, and policy experts. The Treasury Department had previously stated that commercial spyware proliferation presents significant security risks to the United States.
