Haryana Implements Uniform Nomenclature Policy for Government Land Records

Haryana Financial Commissioner Dr. Sumita Misra emphasized the adoption of a uniform nomenclature policy for government land records to enhance transparency and accountability. Officials have been directed to standardize ownership entries in jamabandi records, recording state government lands as "Haryana Government" and specifying respective departments in the cultivation column. This policy also clarifies recording practices for lands owned by the Central Government, state boards, corporations, and local bodies, aiming to reduce ambiguity and strengthen governance in land administration.
