Mizoram Considers Extending Operation Jericho Anti-Drug Campaign Beyond March

Mizoram's Home Minister K. Sapdanga indicated that the ongoing anti-drug campaign, Operation Jericho, launched in September 2025 to curb cross-border drug trafficking, may be extended beyond its current March deadline. The campaign, initially set for four months, involves the state police, Excise Department, and Young Mizo Association. Sapdanga emphasized the need for improved border monitoring and acknowledged connectivity issues affecting report submissions, with plans underway to enhance mobile network infrastructure.
