Pune Municipal Corporation Removes Over 81,000 Sq Ft of Illegal Constructions in Citywide Drives

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) conducted extensive anti-encroachment drives on Wednesday, removing approximately 81,500 square feet of illegal structures across multiple city areas. Operations targeted unauthorised constructions obstructing public spaces and traffic, including 6,500 sq ft near Rameshwaram Cafe in Zone 4 and 75,000 sq ft in the Lohegaon-Wagholi belt. The drives involved significant manpower, machinery, and security personnel, reflecting PMC's ongoing efforts to enforce building regulations and maintain urban planning compliance citywide.
