Centre Increases Telangana IAS Cadre Strength to 218 Amid Governance Needs

The Central government has increased Telangana's Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre strength from 208 to 218 posts. This decision, made in consultation with the Telangana government, aims to bolster administrative capacity for growing governance needs. The revised structure includes specific allocations for senior duty posts, central and state deputation reserves, training, and leave reserves, with posts filled through promotion and direct recruitment.
