
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has requested ₹200 crore from the central government for an Integrated Coconut Development and Market Strengthening Programme. The initiative aims to stabilize prices and increase farmer incomes in the state, which ranks fourth nationally in coconut cultivation. Proposed measures include modernizing market access, establishing processing facilities for high-value products, and enhancing pest management with technology like AI and drones.
