Indian Army to Recruit 800 Porters in Rajouri-Poonch for New Porter Company

The Indian Army is conducting recruitment rallies from March 12 to 19 in Rajouri and Poonch districts to enlist 800 porters for the newly raised 279 Porter Company, operational from April 1 to September 26. Porters will support logistics in high-altitude forward posts amid increased infiltration and drone activity near the Line of Control. Eligible candidates must be Indian citizens aged 18 to 40, medically fit, and provide various identity, character, and medical certificates during the application process.
