Court Accepts CID Closure Report Clearing CM Naidu in Andhra Pradesh Skill Scam Case

A court in Vijayawada accepted the Andhra Pradesh CID's closure report clearing Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of involvement in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation fund misappropriation case, citing a 'mistake of fact.' Naidu was arrested in September 2023 and spent over 50 days in jail before bail. The YSR Congress Party has strongly opposed the closure, alleging a cover-up and misuse of power, and plans to challenge the decision legally. The case involves alleged diversion of over Rs 300 crore through shell companies during Naidu's tenure.
