Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has approved the launch of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna from January, offering cashless medical treatment up to Rs 10 lakh per family. This initiative aims to provide universal healthcare and reduce financial burdens, covering hospitalisation, surgeries, critical care, and medicines at empanelled government and private hospitals. The scheme, an enhancement from a previous Rs 5 lakh limit, is open to all Punjab residents regardless of income and will be the first of its kind in the country.
