China's National People's Congress Standing Committee has expelled three high-ranking military officials: Wang Renhua, Zhang Hongbing, and Wang Peng. This action is part of an ongoing anti-corruption campaign led by Xi Jinping since 2012, which has seen numerous senior PLA officers sacked or punished. The expelled officials, however, retain their membership in the Central Committee, the Communist Party's primary decision-making body.
