Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah has agreed to merge his group with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for the upcoming March 5 Nepal polls. The pact aims to unite youth-led political forces against corruption and bad governance, addressing demands of Gen Z protesters. Balen and his supporters will use the RSP's 'Bell' election symbol. This alliance is seen as a significant move to consolidate emerging political movements, with expectations of a surge in RSP membership from young supporters. Another group, the Ujyalo Nepal Party, is yet to decide on joining.
