Tripura Presents Rs 34,212 Crore Tax-Free Budget Focusing on Infrastructure and Development

Tripura's government presented a tax-free budget of Rs 34,212.31 crore for FY 2026-27, marking a 5.52% increase from the previous year with a projected deficit of Rs 240.72 crore. The budget emphasizes infrastructure, digital transformation, rural employment, and social development, including establishing technical, medical, and women's universities. Approximately Rs 15,000 crore is allocated for tribal development, aiming to support sustainable economic growth and socio-economic progress.
