
K.M. Sudhakaran, a veteran leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and trade unionist, passed away at the age of 90 in Kochi, Kerala. He was a member of the party's State committee for 35 years and served as the State treasurer of CITU. Sudhakaran entered politics in 1956 and was involved in various movements, including farmer and toddy tapper struggles, and was jailed during the Emergency. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and other leaders condoled his passing.
