
Tripura recorded an 8.30 percent decline in overall crime in 2025, marking the lowest rate in two decades, according to Chief Minister Manik Saha. Crimes against women also decreased by 8.14 percent. The state intensified its crackdown on narcotics, with NDPS cases rising by around 11 percent and significant increases in seizures and destruction of drugs. Authorities arrested 576 infiltrators and 102 facilitators along the Bangladesh border. Efforts to combat cybercrime include freezing linked bank accounts and strengthening cyber police capabilities.
