
G. Sai Prasad, a 1991-batch IAS officer with extensive administrative experience, assumed charge as Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary on Saturday, succeeding K. Vijayanand who retired the same day. Sai Prasad's appointment was marked by a religious ceremony and greetings from senior officials and department heads. Meanwhile, Vijayanand was appointed Ex-Officio Special Chief Secretary to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and also met with him following the transition.
