EAM Jaishankar Highlights Multipolar World and Global South's Role at Raisina Dialogue

At the Raisina Dialogue 2026, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that the global expectation of a fixed world order since the mid-20th century was unrealistic, as power has become widely distributed across multiple dimensions. He emphasized that no country today holds overall hegemony, signaling a shift toward a multipolar world shaped by technological and demographic changes. Jaishankar highlighted the Global South's growing influence, rooted in shared historical experiences, and noted that future global cooperation will involve temporary, issue-based compacts rather than dominant power agreements.
