Former TDB President A. Padmakumar Granted Bail in Sabarimala Doorframe Gold Theft Case

A Kollam Vigilance Court granted statutory bail to former Travancore Devaswom Board president and CPI(M) leader A. Padmakumar in the Sabarimala temple gold theft case related to the doorframe of the sanctum sanctorum. However, he remains in custody as he has not yet secured bail in a separate case involving gold loss from the temple's Dwarapalaka sculptures. The Special Investigation Team missed the 90-day deadline to file chargesheets in both cases, with filings expected by March 31.
