The BJP has accused the Gandhi family of attempting to extort Rs 7 crore from a couple in exchange for an assembly election ticket in Haryana. This allegation is based on WhatsApp chats made public by Gaurav Kumar, husband of a former Haryana Women Congress general secretary, involving personal assistants of senior Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari described the chats as prima facie proof of corruption. The Congress has not responded to these claims.
