
Amid escalating Middle East tensions, Pakistan has deployed advanced air defence systems, troops, and military personnel to Saudi Arabia under the Pakistan-Saudi Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement. Pakistani units, including LY-80, FM-90, and Anza missile systems, remain under Pakistani command while coordinating with Saudi forces. The deployment, overseen by former Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, includes air tanker aircraft ferrying reinforcements. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed support to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman prior to the deployment.
