The BJP has decided to bar relatives of sitting MPs and MLAs from contesting the Maharashtra civic polls, prioritizing party workers. This directive has led to the withdrawal of nominations for several such candidates, including the sons of two MLAs in Nashik. While some leaders' families have complied, the decision has reportedly caused discontent among some party members who did not receive tickets, with efforts underway to pacify them.
