Kerala's proposals for the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme have been stalled since 2022 due to approximately ₹199 crore in unutilized central funds. The Union Ministry of Minority Affairs has not approved new projects, citing the unused amount. While the State Department of Minority Welfare has taken steps to utilize these funds and hopes for future approvals, the Ministry stated no proposals have been received for the 2022-2025 period. The PMJVK scheme focuses on community infrastructure in health, education, and skill development.
