
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) addressed significant environmental concerns, including elevated faecal coliform levels during the Mahakumbh pilgrimage in Prayagraj. Initial reports indicated water quality issues, but a subsequent analysis suggested it was fit for bathing. The NGT also directed the Delhi government to desilt 24 drains and sought responses from the Centre on issues like Assam's forest cover decline, artificial light impacts, invasive fish species, illegal colonies in forest areas, and plastic waste management.
