The DoE states a November 20 circular, issued per Supreme Court directions for student safety, only mandated preventing stray dogs from entering school premises via security staff. Officials deny any directive for teachers to count dogs, calling the claims "fabricated" and "mischievous," potentially aimed at causing confusion and damaging the department's reputation. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been accused of spreading this "false information."
