
Parliament spent less than 30% of its time on legislative business in 2025, including discussing and passing bills, according to a PRS Legislative analysis. The Question Hour also functioned for less time than scheduled. Despite this, 31 bills were passed, covering areas such as waqf properties, income tax simplification, online gaming prohibition, nuclear energy, and modifications to the MGNREGA scheme. Of the 42 bills introduced, 11 were referred to committees for scrutiny.
