
As the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections approach, major political parties have begun announcing their first lists of candidates. The BJP has released lists of 66 to 70 candidates, while the Congress has announced 70 candidates, forming alliances with the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) and Rashtriya Samaj Paksh (RSP). The NCP has declared 37 candidates, indicating it will contest independently. Seat-sharing talks continue within the ruling Mahayuti alliance between the BJP and Shiv Sena.
