BJP Spokesperson Highlights Declining Hindu Population Growth in West Bengal

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari has stated that West Bengal's demography is entering a 'dangerous phase' due to a declining growth rate of the Hindu population in several districts, particularly border areas. He linked this decline to an increase in illegal infiltrations, suggesting the Hindu population's decadal growth has dropped from 21% in 1980 to 10% currently. Bhandari emphasized that this demographic shift resembles patterns from the 1940s and highlighted concerns over the changing population balance in the state.
