
A heliborne geophysical survey is underway in Karnataka's Raichur district, home to the Hutti Gold Mines, to identify rare and critical mineral deposits. Conducted by the Geological Survey of India from February 10 to April 30, the non-invasive survey uses electromagnetic and magnetic methods. While some residents express concern about potential mining, the state government, represented by Minister N S Boseraju, stated it will support activities beneficial to the public and environment but oppose those harming local welfare.
