
Nepal's Army is set to mobilize approximately 80,000 troops, representing over 90% of its ground forces, to ensure security during the general elections scheduled for March 5. President Ramchandra Paudel has approved the government's recommendation for this deployment, which will occur a month prior to the election. A three-tier security plan is in place, with police in the first tier, Armed Police Forces in the second, and the Army forming the outer security circle.
