
The Delhi government has issued new guidelines for its state handicrafts awards, including the Rajya Shilpkar Puraskar and Rajya Dakshata Puraskar, to promote local artisans and crafts. The prize money for these awards has been tripled, with the Rajya Shilpkar Puraskar now offering Rs 1 lakh and the Rajya Dakshata Puraskar Rs 75,000. The revised awards also expand eligibility to include women, persons with disability, startups, and innovators across 24 categories, aiming to recognize and encourage Delhi's rich heritage in handicrafts.
