He alleged that the Congress government stalled irrigation and development projects, including the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme, undoing progress made during the BRS regime. Rama Rao stated that former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is preparing for a new phase of struggle to protect the project and Telangana's water interests.
