Jharkhand IMA Seeks Amendments to Clinical Establishments Act, Warns of Possible Agitation

The Jharkhand chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has urged the state government to amend the Clinical Establishments Act (CEA) and implement the Medical Protection Act (MPA) to benefit doctors and patients. IMA leaders highlighted that their demands remain unaddressed despite assurances, emphasizing that the amendment would enable doctors to open small clinics after registration, improving local patient care. They warned that continued government inaction may lead to renewed agitation, though they wish to avoid disrupting patient services.
