Indian Army Foils Infiltration Bid, Kills Pakistani Terrorist in Uri Sector

The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police jointly foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in the Uri sector of Baramulla district on the night of March 14-15. Alert troops detected suspicious movement and engaged the infiltrator, resulting in the killing of one Pakistani terrorist. Security forces recovered an AK rifle, pistols, and ammunition from the site. Follow-up operations are ongoing to ensure no additional infiltrators remain. A similar attempt was thwarted earlier on March 10 in the Nowshera sector.
